To Our International Neighbors

Thank you for your interest in our vending machines. I have composed this general information letter with regard to the use of our machines in countries outside of the continental United States of America, in hopes of answering many of the questions you may have. Many operators and dealers from all over the world have approached us with regard to our refurbished machines; as they are able to recognize the great business potential and the quick return on investment that our machines can deliver. For many countries, there is the added benefit of lower import taxes or tariffs on the machines they order from us because, while our machines look and work very much like new machines, they are actually considered used. We are also one of the few companies here in the USA, who will go through the trouble and expense of researching whether your country's currency will work in our machines. Hopefully the following paragraphs of information will help to answer many of your questions, as well as help you to decide whether it is economically possible for you to order our machines:

  1. Basically, the machines we offer are built for use in the United States, which means that they will operate on 110volts, 60 cycle electrical power. For those of you who have that same power standards in your country, that is one less thing to consider. For those countries who have 220volts, 50-60 cycle, you would need to provide a voltage converter to operate our machines.

  2. Currency and coin acceptance is of course the biggest concern to our Foreign business neighbors.  We are constantly working on adapting our own U.S. coin mechs and paper currency validators to accept your country's currency, however, we are only able to research the possibilities on a country to country basis. Because of the wide differences in currency value, product prices, and the actual physical dimensions of your paper money and coins, it is sometimes quite difficult to adapt our machines for use in other countries.

  3. In some countries, where the use of vending machines to sell products are already common, there are companies that sell coin mechs and paper currency validators that will work with your currency. The problem with that is that these units are usually only available as new, and are quite expensive.

  4. Currently, we have been able to develop a way to provide for fairly reliable single price soda vending machines which will accept your paper currency if your paper money is similar in size to the U.S. $1 DOLLAR note. We would also need for you to send us samples of your paper notes, minimum of 40 each of newer notes, average worn notes, and very worn notes, so that we might be able to program your country's notes for maximum acceptance. Of course, the value of your notes would have to be such that it is comparable to the price you will be asking for the products you are trying to vend. For example, in Saudi Arabia, one of our customers there sells 1 soda for 1 Saudi Riyal, with no coin or other change requirements. (This is what we call single pricing.)

  5. We are working on developing multi-pricing capabilities which would then allow you to sell both snacks and sodas at various prices using your country's currency, however, we are not ready at this time. Especially with regard to the snack machines, since there is such a variance in pricing due to the many different products that you could sell in the snack vendors. If you have snack products in which your single value paper currency would work for all of the various snacks you would want to sell out of that snack machine, then there is possibility that we could get your currency to work.

  6. Regarding payment for your order, due to the high incidence of internet commerce fraud, we have been forced to accept Bankwire only as payment in full prior to processing your order. We do not accept letters of credit or cashiers' checks.

  7. Regarding shipment of your order: you can use your own shipping company, or we can refer you to a shipping company. In this way, you are assured that all documents and necessary requirements of your country are handled efficiently, and you can decide as to how much insurance you would like to protect your shipment. Most shipments overseas are in 20 or 40 ft. containers. Please keep in mind that it is always cheaper per unit to ship with full container loads, as you are usually paying for the whole container.

  8. We do not use a paper catalogue that we can send you, as our inventory changes very drastically daily. Please visit our websites to see or read about descriptions and pricing. Our local market of operators and dealers alone have become so confident in the appearance and reliability of our machines, that we sell many machines weekly, and therefore cannot guarantee a specific number of machines unless they are prepaid bankwired funds as mentioned above.

  9. Realizing that it would be extremely expensive to our international customers for any warranty issues, on our limited parts only warranty, we have decided to adjust the prices per unit on orders 15 or more machines to allow for any labor expenses you might acquire instead of the warranty. Of course, if you cannot acquire certain parts in your country, we will do as much as we can to help you get the parts you need from our own sources here in the U.S., at your expense.

  10. Finally, please keep in mind, that the prices you see on our website are for U.S.A. ready machines, already configured for use with our currencies and power requirements. We have gone to and will go to great expense to research and design as needed to adapt the machines for use in your country if at all possible. This will usually be reflected in the price of the machines you choose. While we have found a way to eliminate the coin mech in the single price soda machines mentioned above, (no coin change requirements) the cost of the new paper currency validator, removal of the coin mech, and development of a specialized circuitry, and specialized wiring harness has increased our cost per machine.
Of course, as mentioned above, we will work to make certain discount adjustments for larger orders.
